Swimming in the Patapsco River
Sunday, June 30, 2013
We found it on-line looking for local swimming holes -- a place to pull off by the Patapsco River near Sykesville, Maryland. (Up Route 32 and turn right on River Road.) We drove out there after visiting my grandmother in her nursing home. My nephew and niece came with us, which came in handy at the end of the day.
Rocks for skipping, a gift from my daughter |
Apparently I wasn't the only one fascinated with rocks. One of my children decided to break apart a small boulder by throwing it down on a big boulder. Unfortunately, he was successful, and a shard bounced back up and gouged into his leg. My nephew took most of the kids home. Four stitches in the ER, same hospital where my Mom is a patient. Fun. Stay calm, Mama. Guess we made a memory there!
Be blessed,
