Five Generations

I'm in Maryland now, visiting family along with my oldest daughter and grandsons.  Yesterday, I chronicled our travels and our trip to the petting zoo.  See To Grandmother's House (And a Petting Zoo) We Go.

This post's pics are from a visit with my beloved 97 year old grandmother at the assisted living facility that is now her happy home.  (Until recently, she lived with my parents, but she requires extra assistance now that her memory is failing.)

My grandmother, mother, daughter, grandsons, and me!

Boy and leaves!

Boy and stick and tree! Whack!
"Boom!  Boom!  Boom!"

A comrade with a stick, too.
This gentleman insisted there were snapping turtles
living on the patio, and while we were out there, he patrolled
the bushes with his own stick to rout them out.
Nice to know he was looking out for our safety!

Inside, he made a beeline for the
stuffed animals on her window sill.

He's pretty happy about borrowing Pooh Bear for a while.
