To Grandmother's House (And a Petting Zoo) We Go

A few weeks ago, my oldest daughter, Mary, called to say that she wanted to take her two little boys to see my family in Maryland.  She especially wanted them to meet my grandmother, who is their great-great grandmother.  I somehow couldn't imagine her wrangling them both on an airplane, so of course I volunteered to go along! It made a great excuse to see my family (Mom, Dad, Grandma, and my sister's and brother's families).

Why yes, I did take over 600 pictures in one day!  A hard time choosing, but I picked out only 20 to share with you.  More tomorrow.  And Sunday.  And Monday.  Fall leaves.  Apple picking. Who knows what else?  I'm the Mammarazzi.  Indulge me.

I'm a sucker for clouds and sunrises...

The Farm Animals book was a particularly good choice today...

With my parents, who have been married nearly 55 years.
I am so grateful for all they've done for me.

In the backyard playground --
the same one all of my kids played on
when they were little.
