Praying for you and yours. I love the pictures of your mom, especially the one of her doing sudoku.
ReplyDeleteRadiant seems like a perfect word to describe your mom--in all of the pictures you and Barbara have shared over the last couple of years, including the ones of your Mom in the hospital these past few weeks, I've always been struck by her smile--how very present and engaged and happy she seemed in life. I am so sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteOh, Virginia, this is so hard...
ReplyDeleteThe photos are so precious. May the Holy Spirit comfort each of you. Giving you a big hug.
Love,

Your mother is radiant! I lost my 83-yr-old mom in Feb. of this year & I know I will always miss her. May God give you peace and more joyful memories in your grief. Thanks for sharing a bit of your mother's life with us. Stopping in from Doorkeeper. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteYour mother is beautiful Virginia. This is so important that you did this for her with all these lovely pictures. Thanks for linking with WholeHearted Wednesdays.
ReplyDeleteI loved the pictures. I DO remember your Mom. I sing in the NCC, too. I came in 1999 and still sing with them. She was always so sweet, always had a smile.
ReplyDeleteI wanted you to know that I, too, lost my mother (Midge Boteler McBride) just a couple of weeks ago (July 7). It wasn't supposed to be like this, either. She had surgery March 25 and it was battle ever since. A horrible rollercoaster for 3 months. I know how shattered you feel. Just know you aren't alone and we will get through this, somehow, one day at a time.
Love,
Melinda Herndon
Virginia, your Mom was so kind and welcoming to me when I came to Ray's BIG "family"! What a blessing she will always be to me. I miss her!
ReplyDeleteThank you for showing all these wonderful photos of Mary.
